Record Generosity for the Maison Enfant Soleil signée Bonneville 2023 Draw

20 July 2023

$4.4million raised for the well-being of Québec’s children

Belœil, July 20, 2023 The draw for the Maison Enfant Soleil signée Bonneville 2023 was held this morning under the supervision of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, live on TVA’s Salut Bonjour show, along with Alain Dumas, spokesperson for the cause, and Lexie Gendron, Enfant Soleil ambassador for the project. Once again this year, a record $4.4 million was raised! Thanks to this outpouring of generosity, it will be possible to carry out dozens of projects that will transform the care offered to children throughout Québec, to continue to be there for thousands of families and to support the medical teams that care for them.

Congratulations to Tristan Laliberté of Lévis (ticket no. 444862), the lucky winner of the draw who will be able to choose between the Grand Prize of $500,000, including the fully furnished and decorated house and a $100,000 land purchase allowance in the city of his choice, or $400,000 in cash. Congratulations also to Benoît Laberge of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (ticket no. 142687) who won the 2nd prize, a Hybrid Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE 2023 valued at $96,000.

A draw for 38 secondary prizes was also held, and will be broadcast later today on the Opération Enfant Soleil Facebook page. To find out the names and ticket numbers of all the winners, visit www.maisonenfantsoleil.ca

A special thank you to Lexie Gendron and her family for their extraordinary participation in the campaign. Affected by type 2 spinal muscular atrophy, a degenerative disease that attacks nerve cells, Lexie faces each treatment with great courage and strength. Bright and radiant, she’s a great inspiration to everyone around her, and it’s a real pleasure to be able to name the Maison Enfant Soleil after her!

This hope-filled project is made possible by the generosity and support of our partners, including Les Industries Bonneville, official builder, RONA, official material supplier, Meubles Léon, furniture supplier and official decorator, Groupe Desmeules, Car Prize supplier, and TD Bank Group and Lepelco Assurances, suppliers of the land purchase allowance. An initiative of this scale would not be possible without the support of members of the provincial sales network: RE/MAX, Familiprix, Couche-Tard, RONA, Réno-Dépôt, Opto-Réseau, Walmart, Toujours Mikes, Chaussures POP and Les Industries Bonneville.

The involvement of all our partners, combined with public participation, will again this year contribute to the realization of several projects in Québec’s major pediatric centers, as well as in regional hospitals and organizations. Since the first Maison Enfant Soleil draw in 1993, over $40 million has been raised for the well-being of sick children.

Thank you to everyone who participated and bought a ticket this year. We invite you to keep an eye out for the draw for the 32nd Maison Enfant Soleil in Bonneville, starting in 2024!

Opération Enfant Soleil: working together for the well-being of Québec’s children

Opération Enfant Soleil brings Quebecers together for the cause of sick children, supporting their recovery across the province. Over the past 36 years, more than $302 million has been donated thanks to the generosity of partners, volunteers, and donors. Thanks to this contribution, over a hundred projects are carried out every year in regional hospitals and major pediatric centers: acquisition of cutting-edge equipment adapted to children’s size; creation of comfortable, optimal care environments; local care, close to home and family; innovative research projects, to go even further. Funds are also donated to organizations each year for several prevention-related projects, thanks to the Fonds sport et santé durable.
