Québec, July 20, 2017 – The draw for the Maison Enfant Soleil signée Bonneville took place this morning live on the show Salut, Bonjour! broadcast on the TVA network with Alain Dumas. Mrs Paule D. Guillemette from Sherbooke (ticket no 311993), is the lucky winner of this magnificent house, an exclusive and unique model named Élizabel in honour of the Enfant Soleil ambassador of the project. The winner receives a decorated and fully furnished house, as well as a grant to set it up on the land of their choice.

This inspiring project has been a tremendous success thanks to the extraordinary commitment of our major partners: Les Industries Bonneville, official builder, Sears Canada, official decorator and furniture supplier, and TD Bank, primary provider of the land purchase grant.

A project of this scale would not have been possible without the support of companies in the provincial sales network: RE/MAX, Sears, Familiprix, TD, Aubainerie and Couche-Tard. Their involvement, combined with community participation, will once again contribute to the realization of several projects in large pediatric centres, hospitals, and regional organizations in Quebec this year.

More than 2 million dollars were raised by draw ticket sales this year, and more than 20 million dollars has been raised for the well-being of sick children since the first Maison Enfant Soleil draw in 1993.

Élizabel suffers from Autosomal recessive spastic ataxia of Charlevoix-Saguenay. Caused by a gene defect, this illness causes the degeneration of the spinal cord. Her parents know that their daughter’s life will become more and more difficult: gradually, she will lose the use of her legs and will have more difficulty controlling the movement of her upper limbs. Nevertheless, this courageous family continues to assert that, “Our daughter is intelligent, resilient, and a fighter, and her love of life knows no bounds!”
